The Patient Account Supervisor/Patient Financial Services is responsible for the Patient Accounts area, including the third:party insurance billing, follow:up, collections and financial arrangements for accounts within their assigned areas. Formulates short range plans for MHM/Patient Financial Services Department.

Sets goals and objective and strategies for meeting these goals.

Hires, evaluates performance, counsels, issues corrective action, and recommends promotion and discharge of department Associates as indicated.

Supervises the process of timely and appropriate billing of third:party payors within the payor group.
:
Effectively communicates concise and timely information to staff and members of other departments.

Coordinates and implements changes in regulatory requirements and insurance billing practices.

The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.

The physical requirements of this position are: light work : exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.

The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
