This position is responsible for the overall operations of the PACS systems providing the delivery and archiving of diagnostic images and associated reports and information. Provides support to physicians, technologists and other medical staff in the acquisition and distribution of digital patient records in Radiology and Cardiology. Works in conjunction with the IS department and other departments to ensure the maintenance and integrity of the patients radiology and cardiology records. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.
Must have one of the following:
Graduate of an approved imaging training program.
Graduate of a formal program in cardiovascular technology.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Must have at least two (2) years of experience in Radiology or Cardiology PACS with strong technical knowledge of IS hardware, software and network applications.
Must have one of the following:
:Current R.N. license to practice as a professional nurse in the state of employment.
BA/BS in clinical discipline, computer science, or other job:relevant degree.
:Ability to effectively train others in computer skills related to the Radiology or Cardiology PACS system.
:Minimum of two years experience with strong clinical knowledge related to imaging. Must have demonstrated knowledge of the overall workflow of the departments.
:Knowledge of MAC lab, Cerner/IView, Powerchart, voice recognition, and Radiology and Cardiology workflows.
:Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
:Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers. 13;

:Oversee and maintain the imaging information systems to ensure smooth and appropriate functionality of all Radiology and Cardiology systems.

:The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.

:The physical requirements of this position are: light work : exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
:The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
