Summary 13;
Performs technical and administrative tasks related to pathology test validation and research studies conducted by the Pathologist. Performs a variety of duties involved in the collection, documentation, analysis and billing for clinical research. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Work Experience

Bachelors Degree in Science
Minimum of two years of clerical experience related to Anatomic Pathology


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities 13;
:Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office program or programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
:Proficient in use of basic office equipment; multi:line phones; and data entry.
:Proficienct with Digital pathology protocols and instrumentation.
:Skill and proficiency in oral and written communication including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and composition.
:Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
:Ability to perform complex data entry.
:Demonstrates discretion in dealing with confidential information and sensitive issues.
:Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. 13;
Key Job Responsibilities 13;
:Coordinates research study/grant under the direction of the Patholoigst and carries out study specific procedures.
:Collects, records, reviews and summarizes data for clinical validation and research purposes.
:Oversees billing for Pathology support of clinical research.
:Provides administrative support to the Pathology department when needed.
:Performs other duties as assigned. 13;

:The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
:Must have good balance and coordination.
:The physical requirements of this position are: light work : exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
:The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
:The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work. 13;
