Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Director to join our childcare center.
The Director manages daily operations of the daycare and support staff in the development of an innovative, hands:on, emergent curriculum designed for the children while building an environment where the children, families and staff thrive.

As Director, you are expected to:
* Your number 1 goal is to provide a fun, safe, exciting, and entertaining environment for children (Every child should be begging to stay)
* Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children that will encourage their social, emotional, physical and intellectual development
* Reduce operation costs of the center
* Avoid risk
* Assume the role and responsibilities of multiple positions, including: Play Specialist, Guest Specialist, Floater, Pre:School Teacher
* Grow your team by hiring, training, supervising and inspiring a team of passionate, committed employees
* Collaborate with families to support and share the educational needs of their children
* Be a brand ambassador: form relationships and respond to all agency, parent and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
* Cultivate a culture that delivers uplifting experience for parents and staff
* Shape lives: Impart great quality of care through Kid Citys developmentally appropriate
* Ensure operational excellence
* Develop strategies for quick ramp:up and sustain enrollments through high retention and on:going marketing
* Oversee budget and profitability
* Create and maintain staffing schedule, meal plans, curriculum plans and routine quality assurance activities
* Oversee compliance with State and Kid City guidelines, ensure permits and licenses are current
* Strive for Accreditation: Lead our efforts for NAEYC Accreditation
* Oversee FunPlans (fun:based lesson plans) as created by Play Specialists
* Contribute to the development of FunPlans, giving constructive feedback to Play Specialists as needed
* Monitor Daily Activity Reports
* Maintain Payroll Report
* Maintain and audit family records/department files
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in program.
* Analyze Parent Surveys
* Maintain inventory and place supply orders
* Work over 40 hours per week, which will include some nights, weekends, and holidays
* Plan and run monthly staff meetings and training sessions
* Most importantly, continue to grow personally, professionally and create a culture of fun, learning and growth at Kid City
* Any additional tasks assigned by the Board or Directors
Director applicants are:
xF0B7; Certified in First Aid and CPR
xF0B7; Screened and enrolled in the Tennessee Criminal Background Registry
xF0B7; Required to attend ongoing staff development and skill:building workshops
xF0B7; Two : five years of experience in a childcare center in an Assistant Director role.
xF0B7; Bachelors degree (in Early Childhood Education preferred) OR at least 8 years of experience.
xF0B7; Infant/Child First Aid and CPR certification required. The company will cover expenses for this training, if needed, for the right candidate.
xF0B7; Excellent communication skills.
xF0B7; Must fulfill all state:specific requirements for Director of a childcare center.
