On January 11, 2012 there will be Mid-South Food Bank collection bins in the following local Kroger stores ,4270 Summer Avenue & 2942 Kirby Whitten rd,as well as the Boy Scout office at 171 S. Hollywood. There will also be a collection can at Bryants' Breakfast 3965 Summer Avenue. These bins will be here until February 11, 2012, which is the Big Day of our Scouting for Food event. On this day Scouts will be going door to door throughout the mid-south collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items.They will also be outside the above mentioned Kroger stores collecting final donations. ALL Benefitting the Mid-South Food Bank. 369,000 people in the mid-south have food insecurities, last year our mid-south food bank distributed over 10.2 million pounds of food.
Most needed items: canned tuna, 100% canned fruit juices,canned stews,soups,spam, peanut butter. PLEASE HELP US HELP THEM
