Atta held onto her queenly crown as she ran toward the anthill. There was just so much to do as a queen. Flik wanted Atta to see his latest invention. Atta's crown was destroyed by Flik's petal poofer invention. Flik dives into the swamp to find a new crown flower to replace the older crown. Flik saves the day.

The premise of the storry is that Slim (stick bug) and his friend Heimlach (caterpillar) both worked for the Ritz Theatre. The director immediately fires the two friends. The two friends stick together and set off for the city. They encounter a male lady bug named Francis who also gets fired from his comedy club job for yelling at a customer who called him a lady. The three friends all audition for the Great P.T. Flea circus. The friends begin clowning around and get hired for the circus. They make new friends and continue to clown around.

Across from Ant Island a family was having a picnic on top of a hill. They left behind a cupcake--mountain of cake. The next day scout Thorny presented a map to the colony. The ants doubted such a thing existed so the next day, the ants saw the weird pink goop. They found it! Flik built a cake launcher. Thorny fell a top the cake, and the launcher sent the cake flying into the air back to Ant Mountain. The entire ant council congratulated Thorny for his cleaver invention. Flik didn't mind he only cared about the cake. Flik decided to produce a dozen more inventions.
