JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Oversee the weekly and bi:weekly processing and ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of runs.
* Process payroll system interfaces and ensure they are correctly reflected in the system.
* Responsible for specific groups of payrolls as assigned by management.
* Maintain interfaces between our payroll system and external HR and time management systems.
* Ensure that all requested associate changes are processed in a timely manner
* Process year:end adjustments and oversee issuance of associate W2s.
* Ensures time card accuracy of associates and contractors.
* Preparation of special reports requested by business partners
* Special projects as assigned
* Provides input to management in support of financial processes as requested.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
* Participates in all People management activities including setting objectives, conducting reviews.
* Regularly conducts1:1s and team meetings.
* Supports and models WSI cultural behaviors including ownership, building great teams, and breaking down barriers. Motivates, personally inspires and recognizes associates and contractors for their work and behaviors.
* Oversees the daily work activities, typically of non:exempt staff, and operations of a team offering feedback, coaching and development of effective team dynamics.
* Assists with the acquisition of talent, performance management, and other associate interactions.
* May rely on a manager for coaching on handling associate performance issues.
* Accountable for enforcing company and Payroll policies for their team.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
* Associate or Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
* Typically requires minimum of 3:5 years of related experience. Prior team lead experience preferred.
* Strong PC skills (Excel/word) required.
* Systems Preferred; Lawson HR, ProBusiness, ADP, ADP R and R, KRONOS, Crystal Reports, and INFOR
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
* Ability to Analyze large amounts of data and produce reports to support the operations
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
